Wat Phra That Hariphunchai is considered one of the most beautiful temples in Northern Thailand. It showcases classic Lanna-style architecture and is distinguished by its shining golden chedi, which continuously attracts visitors who come to pay respect and make merit.
As a sacred landmark of the North, this temple has been spiritually tied to Lamphun for over 1,000 years. It is also the zodiac temple for those born in the Year of the Rooster.
Located in the heart of Lamphun town, the temple entrance is decorated with a pair of iconic stucco lions standing on a one-meter-high base—an artistic feature unique to the temple.
Upon entering, you’ll find the main golden Viharn Luang, an impressive structure in the Lanna style. Inside the main hall is a golden Buddha, admired for its beauty and a peaceful presence.
