Three Kruba Monument
Standing prominently in the heart of Li District, the Monument of the Three Revered Lanna Monks honors three highly respected ariyasong (venerable monks) of the Lanna region. The monument is located directly opposite the Li District Office and features life-sized statues of three renowned monks from Lamphun Province: 1. Kruba Sri Wichai, of Wat Ban Pang, Sri Wichai Subdistrict 2.Kruba Apichai (Khow Pi), also known as Kruba Khao Pi, of Wat Phra Phutthabat Phanarm, Pa Phai Subdistrict 3. Kruba Chaiyawongsa Patthana, of Wat Phra Phutthabat Huai Tom, Na Sai Subdistrict All three monks were born in Li District, Lamphun, and are deeply revered by the Lanna people as well as Buddhist devotees across the region. For those traveling along Highway 106 (from Li District, Lamphun to Thoen District, Lampang), a stop to pay respect and seek blessings at the Three Monks Monument is highly recommended for auspiciousness and good fortune.
