Wat Rommaniya Ram, also known as Wat Ku Lamak, is an ancient temple connected to the legend of Queen Chamathewi. It is said to be the place where she rested before ascending the throne of Hariphunchai. The temple is best known for the Ku Lamak Chedi, renovated by Khruba Siwichai. Inside the chedi, visitors can see Buddha relics, a bronze Buddha image, and Queen Chamathewi’s divination arrow.

Wat Rommaniya Ram, originally known as Wat Ku Lamak, is tied to the legend of Queen Chamathewi. According to local legend, when she traveled by boat along the Ping River at the invitation of the hermit Wasuthep to rule the city of Hariphunchai, she and her entourage rested at this place The Ku Lamak Chedi is considered sacred and has long been revered by the local people. The current chedi seen today is a renovated chedi restored by Khruba Siwichai, who built it over the original structure. Inside, Queen Chamathewi is said to have placed Buddha relics, her divination arrow, and a bronze Buddha image crafted in her own proportions. These sacred items are meant for worship and are believed to bring blessings, prosperity, and well-being to those who pay their respects.
