Wat Thip Apson Amon In

Take a visit to Wat Noi Wang Sa Khaeng, also known as Wat Thip Apson Amorn In, located along the Ping River in Lamphun Province. From the Chiang Mai side near Ban Wang Pan, Chom Thong District, the temple is visible across the river. Wat Thip Apson Amorn In showcases simple yet elegant Lanna architecture. The temple complex is meticulously organized, featuring all-white structures including the viharn (assembly hall), ubosot (ordination hall), chedi, Sala Maharaj, Queen Chamadevi’s residence, the foundation office, and the bell tower, all built in understated Lanna style that is soothing to the eye. Inside, the temple offers a spacious area for meditation practice and promotes virtuous deeds. The temple was restored through the dedication and faith of devotees, honoring Queen Chamadevi, the historic ruler of Lamphun. Its most striking feature is the Queen Chamadevi residence, which houses a beautifully crafted statue of the queen, flanked by reclining tigers  a unique artistic detail that blends seamlessly with the traditional architecture, creating a remarkable visual experience.
